Actor Paul Sorvino married political strategist Dee Dee Benkie on Dec. 27, and on Thursday they took a sentimental journey to the place where it all began: Fox News Channel.

The "GoodFellas" and "Law & Order" actor, who's father to actress Mira Sorvino, crossed paths with the former aide to President George W. Bush on the set of "Your World With Neil Cavuto" when her appearance on the show followed his guest spot.

"She took the chair after me. ... I went nuts as soon as I saw her," the 75-year-old said. "She's wearing this beautiful blue dress and she had an aura around her. ... I said, 'Oh my God, that -- this is gonna be for me.'"

A date across the street at Del Frisco's restaurant ensued, and a year later the couple wound up eloping.

"We eloped," Sorvino said. "We eloped standing in front of the fountain at Lincoln Center, where I have sung at the Met and I have sung at the New York Opera."

"It was just us," Benkie told Page Six, which first reported the marriage. (Actually, Benkie spilled the secret on her Twitter feed Dec. 31, when she wrote, "Happy New Year from Paul & Dee Dee Sorvino #HappyNewYear.")

After saying their vows, the couple went to a nearby restaurant and started calling family and friends.

Cavuto, for one, seemed a bit miffed that he hadn't been on the need-to-know list.

"Funny, you never called me," he joked. "It's weird. Because I hooked you up. ... Not even a call.

"I had to read about it on Page Six."

It's a third marriage for Sorvino, who has another daughter and a son in addition to Mira. According to Benkie's Twitter feed, the couple had an "early honeymoon in Rome" and by Jan. 2 appeared to be totally domesticated: "Just got home," she tweeted, "and now watching Goodfellas on @VH1 with my husband Paulie Cicero."
