Ojai Storytelling Festival This year’s lineup includes Dan Keding, Jude Narita, Regi Carpenter, Antonio Sacre and Donald Davis. Moving Units The grungy dance-punk hipsters who had L.A. rocking as early as 2004 are the headliners for May’s installment of Spaceland Productions’ First Fridays music series at the Natural History Museum. The Raveonettes Good news for feedback fans: When the Danish duo returns to Los Angeles, it will most certainly bring the fuzz. When the pair first got together in Copenhagen in 2001, the setup was simple: one guy — mastermind Sune Rose Wagner, aloof, tousled black hair, cagey looking; and one girl — shoegazey chanteuse Sharin Foo, a slinky, dizzyingly tall platinum blond. Their music was a minimal, droning take on coiffed ‘50s rock, with two-part harmonies, three-chord songs and nostalgia-laden lyrics. Their latest, “Raven in the Grave,” takes a stab at goth-noir. Shen Yun The classical Chinese dance and music company, which boasts nearly 100 artists, including winners of international dance and music competitions, performs in traditional costumes with lavish backdrops and a live orchestra. AltBuild Expo As the eighth-annual expo demonstrates, green is the new black. The eco-friendly design and building exhibition features more than 40 speakers on topics such as sustainable construction, urban farming, water conservation and minimizing carbon footprints. Pop-Sequentialism: Comic Art of the Modern Age The exhibit brings together an assortment of comic book art for purchase.
