How to Die in Oregon: Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, filmmaker Peter Richardson’s powerful and surprisingly life-affirming documentary profiles several terminally ill patients in Oregon who are weighing their options in accordance with the state’s 1994 Death With Dignity Act, which legalized physician-assisted suicide for those diagnosed with less time than six months to live (8 p.m. HBO).
