‘John Williams: Maestro of the Movies’ at Hollywood Bowl

MUSIC

If you’ve ever walked down the halls of the office humming Darth Vader’s theme from “Star Wars” (also known as “The Imperial March”), you have John Williams to thank. The composer has also written memorable themes for “JFK,” “Jaws” and practically every film from Steven Spielberg’s directing catalog. The movies Williams chooses to draw from during this annual performance at the Bowl won’t be screened in their entirety, but with Williams’ aural cues, odds are they’ll be playing in your head regardless. 2301 N. Highland Ave. L.A. 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $15-$145. https://www.hollywoodbowl.com.
