Crystal Harris shows off engagement ring No. 2 from Hugh Hefner
Crystal Harris was flaunting her new engagement ring — the second she’s received from one Hugh Hefner in two years — Tuesday on Twitter.
With the caption “My beautiful ring from @hughhefner,” Harris posted a montage of the new dazzler, shown above, which is similar but not identical to the one she accepted in December 2010 and then auctioned off in October 2011 after she decided to walk away only days before their planned June wedding.
“The relationship has really gotten serious. I must confess that I love the girl,” Hefner tweeted last month; Tuesday he retweeted the shots of the ring.
He and she were 84 and 24, respectively, when they got engaged the first time. Make it 86 and 26 now, but she’s said she’s had time to grow more independent since then. She’s also already going by the name “Crystal Hefner” on her Twitter account, though her handle remains @crystalharris.
Though a bride typically returns the ring if she breaks the engagement, Hef let Crystal keep hers. She turned around and sold that 3-carat puppy for about half the $90,000 it originally was valued at.
A small wedding’s rumored to be planned for New Year’s Eve, but who knows the secrets people keep — what’s to stop them from angling for 12-12-12 instead? Could keep the bride from running away yet again.
