Fela Kuti celebration at the Mayan Theatre

Fela Kuti has already been celebrated in a hit Broadway musical, but the Afro-pop titan isn’t done reaping accolades yet. Kuti’s ace drummer, Tony Allen, and the Afrobeat explorer Rich Medina will perform and spin records to celebrate his legacy of intricate, joyful and politically conscious jams.
