‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ ‘The Big Short’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ are among the ACE Eddie nominees

‘Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Ant-Man” and “Inside Out” were among the feature films nominated Monday morning for the American Cinema Editors 66th ACE Eddie Awards honoring outstanding editing.

Nominated for best edited feature film (dramatic) are: Margaret Sixel for “Mad Max: Fury Road”; Pietro Scalia for “The Martian”; Stephen Mirrione for “The Revenant”; and Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Best edited feature film (comedy or musical) nominees are Dan Lebental & Colby Parker Jr. for “Ant-Man”; Hank Corwin for “The “Big Short”; Jay Cassidy, Alan Baumgarten, Christopher Tellefsen and Tom Cross for “Joy”; David Trachtenberg for “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” and William Kerr & Paul Zucker for “Trainwreck.”

Vying for best edited animated feature are Garret Elkins for “Anomalisa”; Kevin Nolting for “Inside Out”; and Stephen Schaffer for “The Good Dinosaur.”

Competing in the documentary feature category are Chris King for “Amy”; Joe Beshenkovsky and Brett Morgan for “Cobain: Montage of Heck”; Andy Grieve for “Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief”; Greg Finton, Brian Johnson and Brad Fuller for “He Named Me Malala”; and Claire Scanlon for “The Wrecking Crew.”

Among the television nominees are “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst”; “Inside Amy Schumer”; “Better Call Saul”; “Game of Thrones”; “Bessie”; and “The Deadliest Catch.”

The winners will be announced Jan. 29 at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
