Marvel has added another mystery movie to its slate, to be released May 4, 2018.
No details about the movie have been revealed, including the title. The news comes hours after Sony’s “Amazing Spider-Man 4” vacated the spot and less than a week after Marvel planted its flag on five other release dates for yet-untitled films: July 28 and Nov. 3, 2017; July 6 and Nov. 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019.
Marvel will likely disclose more information about its ever-expanding cinematic universe at Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend.
The studio’s next film to hit theaters will be “Guardians of the Galaxy” on Aug. 1. The intergalactic adventure is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
Marvel also has “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man” due next year, followed by a third “Captain America” installment in 2016.
