The cinematographers of “Unbroken,” “The Imitation Game,” “Birdman,” “Mr. Turner” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” were nominated Wednesday for the 29th American Society of Cinematographers Award for outstanding achievement in feature film.
Roger Deakins, who has won the ASC honor three times previously, earned his 13th ASC nomination Wednesday for “Unbroken.”
Emmanuel Lubezki, who won the ASC honor last year for “Gravity,” was nominated for “Birdman.” Previous ASC nominee Dick Pope received his second ASC nomination for “Mr. Turner.”
Rounding out the ASC nominees were first-timers Oscar Faura for “The Imitation Game” and Robert D. Yeoman for “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”
“These nominees represent a fabulous slate selected from a particularly rich field of work this year,” said ASC president Richard Crudo in a statement Wednesday.
The winner will be announced at the ASC’s awards ceremony on Feb. 15 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.
