A$AP Ferg throws his own fashion week in ‘Dope Walk’ video

Hip-hop’s biggest winner at New York fashion week might not have been Kanye after all. Turns out it was A$AP Ferg.

Ferg, a stalwart of the New York collective A$AP Mob (he of the excellent “Trap Lord” LP), has released a charmingly homemade video for his single “Dope Walk.”

The entirety of the video is Ferg FaceTiming with model Cara Delevingne, and playing her clips of assorted dances that his crew shot during New York’s recent major fashion event. While it’s hard for anyone to compete with those eyebrows for attention, Ferg makes a good show of it, and obviously had one of the best weeks of his life there.

But if it’s possible to look away from Ferg’s rug-cutting and Delevingne’s resplendent eyebrow arches, watch closely. The video sports cameos from a huge array of guest stars. There’s Ferg collaborators Haim, Rihanna, Big Sean, Justin Beiber, and even Kanye and Beyonce. It’s essentially a fashion-rap “Ocean’s Eleven.”

Ferg is obviously enjoying this victory lap into hip-hop and high fashion’s A-list, and the song is a sold pick-me-up on a slow Wednesday morning. The lyrics are on the bawdier side, so go here to watch it in the original.

Our only complaint? Vertically-shot video with black sidebars is still a crime against humanity, regardless of its Cara Delevingne cameos.
