Amy Winehouse’s wedding dress, which was to be auctioned to raise money for a foundation linked to the late British pop star, reportedly has been stolen from a house in North London.

Winehouse, who died in July 2011 at 27, wore the dress on the day she married Blake Fielder-Civil. The couple were married for roughly two years.

It was stolen along with a cocktail dress that also was to be auctioned to support The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which works to prevent alcohol and drug abuse among young people. London’s Evening Standard newspaper quoted Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who said he was “baffled” why the burglars had stolen the wedding gown rather than some of the singer’s haute couture attire.

“It’s sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value,” he said.
