The outdoor summer screenings series “Silents Under the Stars” at the famed Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills kicks off its 27th season Sunday night with a “Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp Centennial.” The program features many classic Chaplin shorts, including the first Tramp comedy “Kid Auto Races at Venice” and 1917’s “The Immigrant.” And on Aug. 17, “Silents” presents a 1929 Laura La Plante thriller, “The Last Warning.” Sponsored by the National Park Service, Hollywood Heritage and the Silent Society, the screening series features live musical accompaniment by Michael Mortilla. Patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and a flashlight because of limited lighting in the parking area. Admission is $3-$6. For more information go to https://www.hollywoodheritage.com
