Live chat: Discuss ‘The Walking Dead,’ Daryl’s ascension on Talking TV

Share

Some of us remember, way back in 2010, when AMC’s “The Walking Dead” broke records with its debut and all those non-horror fans looked so dumbfounded, just as if they’d never heard of George Romero or Comic-Con.

Three years later, those wacky walkers are still chewing up the competition. With another record-breaking premiere audience, “The Walking Dead” isn’t just the biggest show in cable, its numbers rival “NCIS.”

Meanwhile, every third show being pitched or piloted is either supernatural or post-apocalypse. But none can replace the show that put zombies, Atlanta and Norman Reedus on the map.
