Starz is giving fans their first look at “Outlander” season two as part of the network’s “25 Days of ‘Outlander’ Offerings,” which will share exclusive content from the show on Twitter and Facebook.

Though the first season of Ron Moore’s adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s time-travel series was set in the 18th century Scottish Highlands, the season finale had protagonists Claire and Jamie Fraser headed to France to attempt to stymie the Jacobite rebellion and change Scotland’s troubled future.

The series was met with critical acclaim upon its debut in August 2014 and was a ratings hit for Starz, averaging 5.1 million viewers across multiple platforms for its first eight episodes.

The teaser reveals the same lush visuals of the series’ first season, but the green rolling hills of Scotland have been replaced by the rich fabrics and vibrant colors of French high society.

One bit of mystery in the minute-long trailer is the changing size of Claire’s belly. The character, who revealed her surprise pregnancy to her husband in the season one finale, appears to be very pregnant at certain intervals and not pregnant at all in others. This could be explained away by the fact that the teaser itself is a representation of an entire season of television in a mere minute, but given the show’s penchant for time-travel, a time jump (among other explanations) isn’t out of the question.

“Outlander” is due to return for its 13-episode second season in spring 2016.
