Kathy Griffin to host ‘Fashion Police’; robbery snarls Rodeo

Kathy Griffin has been tapped to replace the late Joan Rivers as the host of the E! network's "Fashion Police."

Comedian Kathy Griffin has been tapped to replace the late Joan Rivers as the host of the E! channel’s “Fashion Police,” according to a report by our colleague Patrick Kevin Day, who says the show will return to the airwaves for 17 epsiodes starting with a Jan. 12 show keyed to the Golden Globes. Another change for the show? According to Day’s report, stylist Brad Goreski will be joining Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne on the panel (replacing, we assume, stylist George Kotsiopoulos, whose name does not appear in the story). The 2014 British Fashon Awards ceremony took place at the London Coliseum on Monday night, with the Bristish Fashion Council handing out honors in 17 categories. Among the winners were Louis Vuitton in the “Creative Campaign” category, Alexander McQueen for “Red Carpet Designer” and Anna Wintour, who was presented the BFC’s Outstanding Achievement Award by none other than designer John Galliano himself -- which made her Maison Martin Margiela by John Galliano haute couture “black tulip” dress and cape ensemble a more than appropriate outfit choice. Beverly Hills’ fabled shopping destination Rodeo Drive was snarled in chaos Monday, but it was robbery, not retail, that caused the kerfuffle and resulted in the shutdown of the street. L.A.-based Chrome Hearts is set to open a 5,000-square-foot store in Miami on Wednesday, according to fashion industry trade paper WWD, which reports the space will be dedicated to “art and art-inspired fashion.” Among the more intriguing things the space offers up is, and we quote: “a brightly colored yarn cave spun by the Haas Brothers to house The Elder Statesman’s cashmere knits.” [WWD, subscription req’d.]
