LACMA to host a conversation with Diane von Furstenberg Jan. 13

Later this month, Angelenos will have an opportunity to hear fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and W magazine editor Stefano Tonchi rap about the wrap dress.

That’s rap as in “having a conversation” -- as opposed to the spitting of rhymes (though one can always hope for a little off-the-cuff musical improvisation, no?).

This particular conversation, organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Costume Council, is scheduled to take place at LACMA’s Bing Theater on Jan. 13, and is being presented in conjunction with “Journey of a Dress,” an exhibition celebrating the iconic wrap dress’ 40th anniversary that will be on view from Jan. 11 through April 1 at the Wilshire May Co. building adjacent to LACMA.
