Turning teacups into vintage treasure

Share

Bangle bracelets have been around for thousands of years, and I recently wrote about how modern artisans are updating them, using materials such as bone, silicone, hemp and aluminum.

An enterprising Brit, Abigail Maryrose Clark, makes her bangles with a vintage look and a green payoff, repurposing bone china teacups into adornments for the wrist that are sold in boutiques and galleries around the world.

Anthropologie has carried various collections since 2010 in the United States and the United Kingdom. The bracelets are also available ($47 each) at Hannah Zakari www.hannahzakari.co.uk or Clark’s Etsy store www.etsy.com/shop/StayGoldMaryRose.
