Stop the presses. Breaking news. In this morning’s inbox came a news release from Giambattista Valli confirming that Valli designed the gown Jessica Biel wore to wed Justin Timberlake. The release described it as a “haute couture strapless gown of silk mousseline and silk organza with a light pink floral motif and ruffles” as well as a veil containing Biel’s heirloom pearls. To see photos, the news release directed readers to People.com, which bought exclusive rights to the photos and posted some today. [People]

Fox News’ Pop Tarts blog posted speculation that Vogue’s Anna Wintour, an ardent fundraiser for President Obama’s reelection, may have designers too intimidated to dress -- or take credit for dressing -- Ann Romney. This apparently came up when Oscar de la Renta had little to say about Romney wearing one of his creations to the third presidential debate Monday night, whereas Thom Brown tweeted that he designed Michelle Obama’s dress.
