New store combines men’s clothes with audio electronics [UPDATED]

For the guy who wants one-stop shopping, a new store set to open this weekend in Orange County offers a stylish solution.

Cloth & Metal will offer clothes, accessories, grooming products, audio electronics and tech accessories under one roof. And for the man who doesn’t want to leave home, the company is launching an online shopping site, too.

“Our mission is to bring together a selection of the coolest products and make the shopping experience both streamlined and rich,” company founder Scott Sablan said in a news release. The store will carry brands including 7 Diamonds, Zachary Prell, Velvet Men, 7 For All Mankind, Joe’s Jeans, Hudson, Jack Black, Cole Haan, Eastland, SeeVees, Logitech, Libratone, UE, Peachtree Audio, Cambridge Audio, Micromega and Amphion.

Cloth & Metal is scheduled to open Saturday at the O.C. Mart Mix, 3313 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Events

Shoe designer Alejandro Ingelmo will meet the public during a trunk show and shoe signing scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Elyse Walker, 15306 Antioch St., Pacific Palisades. Customers can preview and order shoes from Ingelmo’s fall-winter 2013 collection.

Earth Day is Monday, but you can get in the spirit Sunday at Anthropologie at the Grove which, in conjunction with Wellgro Co., is putting on a pop-up farmer’s market and hosting potting workshops for children. The event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the shopping center, at 6301 W. Third St., Los Angeles.

Kelly Florio Kasouf, author of “The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City,” is slated to be on hand at the Oscar de la Renta boutique on Melrose Place as customers shop the spring 2013 collections, including the limited edition Sophie dress for children. The event is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the boutique, 8446 Melrose Place, Los Angeles. Kate Beckinsale, Angie Harmon, Mary Alice Haney, Melissa Sagemiller Nesic, Tara Swennen and Kimberly Van Der Beek are on the host committee. Theory has opened at 408 N. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, next door to the new Alice + Olivia boutique. Theory’s hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
