Matthew McConaughey’s new clothing line, Keds apparel at Macy’s

Actor Matthew McConaughey will launch a new clothing line called JKL. McConaughey partnered with Canadian-based Grand National Apparel on the mainly sportswear-based collection. A portion of the sales from JKL will go to benefit McConaughey’s charity the just keep livin foundation, which supports after-school fitness and wellness programs at inner-city schools. [Yahoo]

Macy’s has launched a new Keds apparel line at Macy’s stores nationwide and online at Macys.com and Keds.com. The popular shoe brand know for its plain white lace-up sneakers has expanded into sportswear separates that include skirts, pants, shorts, tops, knits, jackets, tees and more. The collection is priced between $20 and $90. [Press release]

Designer Donna Karan has started an eBay auction, cosponsored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, called Fashion for Haiti: One Million Hearts. Karan enlisted the help of 150 designer friends including Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta to create papier-mâché hearts to auction off. Proceeds from the auction at ebay.com/fashionforhaiti will benefit the Urban Zen foundation. [Vogue]

Beyonce Knowles has added another elaborate piece to her ever expanding Mrs. Carter world tour wardrobe. At her most recent show, Knowles sported a sparkly cape designed by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci. The tear-away cape came with an ear-trimmed hat. [The Cut]

The U.S. Justice Department ordered clothing brand Ralph Lauren to pay more than $1.6 million to settle a criminal and civil investigation involving its subsidiaries in Argentina. The retailer was accused of bribing government officials in the country. [CNBC]
