Events: Grab the Pots pops up at Lock & Key, Smog City at Pitfire, a new Dog Haus

Koreatown bar Lock & Key will be hosting a series of pop-up dining events throughout the summer season called “Grab the Pots!”. Lock & Key is collaborating with chef Nigel P. Henderson, co-founder of New Orleans-based the Nola Truck and founder/head chef of Convi Collective Catering, for this culinary event. “Grab the Pots!” will kick-off with a Louisiana crawfish boil on Wednesday, June 18, at 8 p.m. Guests will be able to enjoy Henderson’s cuisine on Lock & Key’s outdoor garden patio. Pitfire Pizza hosts Brewery Nights each month, where a different local California brewery is given the spotlight. Brewmasters meet and greet guests while they try $2 pours of signature brews on certain nights at various Pitfire locations. This month, the visiting brewery will be Smog City Brewing at the Westwood restaurant today from 5 to 10 p.m. Smog City will be pouring Little Bo Pils (4.4% ABV); Makeout Session Pale (4.8% ABV); Hoptonic IPA (7.3% ABV); Sabre-Toothed Squirrel (7% ABV); and Coffee Porter (6% ABV). 2018 Westwood Blvd., Los Angeles, (310) 481-9860, www.pitfirepizza.com

Gourmet hot dog concept Dog Haus’ first franchise location in Canoga Park is opening Saturday. To celebrate, Dog Haus will be giving out a free Haus dog to locals who stop by the opening. Options will include the Sooo Cali Haus Dog with arugula, tomato, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado, the Downtown Haus Dog featuring a smoked bacon wrapped dog topped with caramelized onions, sautéed bell peppers, mayo, mustard and ketchup, and the Cowboy Haus Dog with white American cheese, smoked bacon, bbq sauce and crispy onions. The restaurant will have eight craft drafts on tap with an mphasis on local So Cal breweries, including Hangar 24, Golden Road Brewing and Strand Brewing going by the pint. Canned beers like Fat Tire, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Modelo will be served up in koozies.
