Spitz soft-opens in Los Feliz

Share

Spitz, the tasty Middle Eastern-inspired sandwich shop and home to the doner kebab with locations in Eagle Rock and downtown Los Angeles, has expanded to Los Feliz. On Wednesday, its new location on Hillhurst at Sunset soft-opened. The grand opening is expected to happen in a few weeks.

The Los Feliz Spitz was designed by Celeste Korthase Studio to reflect a breezy, street-food vibe, including street art that was found all over the city and plastered to the exterior walls. Inside you’ll find a bar made with reclaimed wood from Frank Sinatra’s Coldwater Canyon home. There’s also a shuffleboard table and open-air seating.

Consider the place a new beer garden with delicious food, as there are 12 craft microbrews on tap in addition to a list of sangria and beer cocktails. The menu will be largely the same as the one found at the other two Spitz locations, with sliced chicken, beef or lamb playing a starring role inside lavash wraps or foccacia bread.

Don’t forget to order yours “street cart style,” which adds the welcome kick of garlic aioli to the original mix of tzatziki and chili sauce.
