Some sexually active under 25s associate condoms with a lack of trust, while others believe carrying them could imply sexual experience, which might be a plus for men but not necessarily for women.

US officials say meningitis vaccine shortfall ends (Reuters)

A shortage of meningitis vaccine supplies has ended, U.S. federal health officials said Thursday as they restored their recommendation for children ages 11 and 12 to get the shot. Concern about tight supplies had prompted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to recommend in May that these preteens defer getting the vaccine while two other groups -- adolescents about age 15 entering high school and college freshmen living in dormitories -- continue to get vaccinated.
