Laura Hurley scored all three goals to record her second hat trick in two games for Van Nuys (7-4-1, 1-0 in league) in a Valley Mission League opener at Sylmar. Hurley gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead with her first goal in the fifth minute, and she also scored in the 33rd and 73rd minutes. Hurley has 11 goals this season. Lorena Nunez scored for Sylmar (3-9-1, 0-1) to tie the game at 1-1 in the 22nd minute.
