Show Spotlight: Jeep Cherokee

Share

Chrysler is bringing an abundance of road-going riches to the L.A. Auto Show, including the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee mid-size SUV; fuel-thrifty Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup; five-door Fiat 500L mini MPV; flagship SRT Viper supercar; Dodge Durango full-size SUV; and the innovative Chrysler 300 sedan.

The iconic Cherokee returns with fuel economy improvements of more than 45 percent (versus the outgoing Liberty model), superior ride and handling, groundbreaking design, world-beating craftsmanship, class-exclusive technology and literally dozens of advanced safety and security features.

The Cherokee is the first mid-size SUV to feature rear-axle disconnect, which, alongside a first-in-a-ute nine-speed automatic transmission, helps it to achieve up to 31 mpg by engaging 4x4 capability only when necessary. Tasty techie touches include full-color 7-inch reconfigurable TFT instrument cluster, Chrysler’s Uconnect Access Via Mobile 8.4-inch color touchscreen media center, and a reassuring Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist System.
