It’s official. Boyz II Men are bringing their smooth harmonies and slow jams to the Mirage Hotel & Casino for another year. The four-time Grammy Award-winning crooners have officially extended their residency at the Terry Fator Theatre, playing most weekends through December 2014.

Formed in 1990, Boyz II Men holds the distinction of being the bestselling R&B group of all-time, with more than 60 million albums sold worldwide. In 2012, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“To be the first urban R&B group to be offered a year-long residency [on the Strip] means more to us than anything. It feels good,” said co-founder and baritone Nathan Morris. Morris will be joined on the Vegas stage by tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman. Bass singer Michael McCary left the act in 2003 due to health issues.

During the 90-minute show, ticket holders can expect to hear the trio’s global hits including “I’ll Make Love to You,” “End Of The Road” and “Motown Philly,” as well as newer material off their latest album, “Twenty.” Several of the classics are accompanied by stories from the singers about how the tunes were recorded.

“Our fans will get to know the people who make up this group and that’s extremely important,” Morris tells the Vegas Guide. “We tend to hear from people that they didn’t know that we’re as funny as we are.”

Of course, no set is complete without the inclusion of one show-stopping number: “Handing out roses to the audience is without a doubt, a Boyz II Men staple. The roses just take it to a whole other level.”

Another possible perk? Surprise guests.

Morris explains, “We haven’t figured out who it’ll be yet, but it’ll be people we know who can sit down with us and vibe.”
