Jennifer Love Hewitt is throwing in a boat and kayaks with rental
The murmuring around Toluca Lake is that “Ghost Whisperer” star Jennifer Love Hewitt has listed a house for sale at $2.895 million and is trying to lease out another place she owns up the street — complete with watercraft.
The traditional-style house for sale was built in 1952. It features a flexible floor plan, an office, six bedrooms, six bathrooms and 5,921 square feet of living space. The quarter-acre site includes a swimming pool and a patio with a built-in bar. Public records show the property was purchased in 1998 for $1.695 million.
For lease at $12,500 a month is a 3,216-square-foot Spanish-style home with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Amenities include an office with a separate entrance, a music room, a gym, a swimming pool and a lakefront dock, plus use of the actress’ power boat and kayaks. The property was bought in 2005 for $5.5 million.
Hewitt, 33, was in the series “Party of Five” (1995-99) and the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movies (1997 and 1998). She starred in the supernatural drama “Ghost Whisperer” from 2005 to 2010 and this year starred as a single mother and masseuse in “The Client List,” which has been renewed for a second season.
Kathy Fisher of Gibson International is the listing agent for both of Hewitt’s houses.
Rapper goes for tricked-out pad
The price of the party palace that rapper Drake bought in Hidden Hills in July has yet to make its way into the public record. Listed at $16.9 million in 2009, it was most recently set at $8.65 million.
Outside of its new owner, perhaps the striking feature of the nearly three-acre property is the grotto-style swimming pool with backlighted waterfalls and an 80-foot slide. Other outdoor amenities include a tennis court, stalls for five horses, a riding arena, a mechanical bull and a viewing pavilion.
The 12,500 square feet of living space include a 24-seat theater, a game room, a spa/massage room, a wine cellar with tasting room, six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Drake, 25, recently passed Jay-Z as having the most No. 1 singles on Billboard’s R&B;/hip-hop chart. Among his albums are “So Far Gone,” “Thank Me Later” and “Take Care,” which was released last year.
The property previously sold in 2003 for $2.775 million, before it was rebuilt into an estate.
Goal achieved in Manhattan Beach
Galaxy star forward Landon Donovan has sold his compound in Manhattan Beach for $4.2 million — just shy of its $4.295-million asking price.
The two-house compound, built in 2007 and 2008, includes a swimming pool.
The rustic Mediterranean main house features a great-room-style open floor plan, 11-foot ceilings, terra-cotta and wood floors, wrought ironwork and vaulted ceilings. There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and 5,715 square feet of living space.
The smaller house includes a gym, a massage room, a sauna, a cold plunge, a home theater, a 300-bottle wine cellar and a guest suite.
Donovan, 30, has played with the Galaxy since 2005. Considered the face of U.S. soccer, he has been named U.S. soccer athlete of the year four consecutive times by the United States Soccer Federation.
The property was listed briefly two years ago at $4.75 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Ex-Dodger has new owner aboard
Former Dodgers shortstop Rafael Furcal has parted with his onetime home base in La Cañada Flintridge for $3.1 million.
The Mediterranean-style villa, built in 2000, features a two-story entry, a grand staircase, a step-down living room, marble and limestone floors, a study, a media room, a wine tasting room and a billiards/game room. The grounds include a swimming pool with spa, an outdoor kitchen and a built-in barbecue. The golf-course view house has six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and 7,402 square feet of living space.
Furcal, 34, started his major league career with the Atlanta Braves in 2000 and signed with the Dodgers in 2005. He was traded last year to the St. Louis Cardinals. When not on the road, Furcal splits his time between St. Louis and Santiago in the Dominican Republic.
Public records show he bought the property in 2007 for $4.25 million.

Producer’s Malibu remix completed
Record producer Terry Lewis and his wife, Indira, have sold their ocean-view house in Malibu for $3.735 million.
The one-acre estate includes a Spanish-style house, a sports court, a swimming pool with a spa and gardens. The 6,710-square-foot open-plan home, built in 2001, features a media room, five bedrooms and 51/2 bathrooms.
Lewis is part of a songwriting and production team with Jimmy Jam. The Grammy-winning Jam and Lewis have produced hits for singers including Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey.
The Lewises sold to move closer to their children’s schools.
Public records show the couple bought the property in 2002 for $3.4 million.
