Armenian genocide: In the April 25 Section A, an article about local Armenian American seniors’ recollections of relatives’ accounts of the Armenian genocide misspelled the name of one of Yervant Melconyan’s grandchildren, Alin, as Acin.

“Masterminds” opening: In the Calendar section elsewhere in this edition, an article about the comedy “Masterminds,” starring Zach Galifianakis, said that the movie would open Aug. 14. It will open Aug. 7. The error was discovered after the section went to press.

Hospital outbreaks: In the April 19 Section A, an article about official secrecy surrounding infection outbreaks at medical centers recounted a 2012 incident involving a staph infection spread among heart patients at an unnamed hospital. The story said that the Los Angeles County Health Dept. identified the institution in an annual report only as “Hospital A” and that the name of the hospital remains secret. In fact, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center confirmed the incident months after it happened in response to questions from The Times.
