Universal Pictures’ profit: An article in the June 16 Business section about Universal Pictures’ box-office receipts said that the studio did not release any films in 2014 that made more than $70 million domestically. In fact, Universal did not release any movies last year that cost more than $70 million to produce.

John Carroll: In the June 15 Section A, the obituary of former Los Angeles Times Editor John Carroll said that he left the Baltimore Sun in 1979. He left the Sun in 1972. In 1979 he left the Philadelphia Inquirer to become editor of the Lexington Herald-Leader in Kentucky.

Serengeti study: In the June 13 Section A, a photo caption that accompanied an article about a wildlife study at Serengeti National Park in Tanzania incorrectly identified an animal photographed in that study. It was a Cape buffalo, or African buffalo, not a water buffalo.
