‘The Middle: In the Calendar section elsewhere in this edition, a caption with an article about ABC’s “The Middle” says the show has yet to win a Grammy. It should say the show has yet to win an Emmy. The error was discovered after the section was printed.

Brown’s budget plan: In the Jan. 6 California section, a quotation in an article about Gov. Jerry Brown’s upcoming state budget proposal was misattributed. It was Brown’s budget spokesman, H.D. Palmer, not state Sen. Holly Mitchell, who said, “Taken together, all of these pressures make a powerful case for a prudent budget.”
