Bonobos: A headline on an article in the June 14 Section A about the sequencing of the bonobo genome referred to the African ape as a human ancestor. Bonobos and humans share a common ancestor.

Longshot sports champions: In the June 13 Sports section, an article about pro teams that were longshots to win championships said that the 2002 Anaheim Angels were the first wild-card team to win the World Series. The 1997 Florida Marlins were the first wild-card team to win the World Series.

Orpheum Theatre: In the May 31 Calendar section, a photo of the Orpheum Theatre that accompanied an article about the Last Remaining Seats film series was credited as a file photo. The picture was taken by Berger/Conser Photography.

James Bond exhibition: An article in the June 14 Calendar section about a James Bond exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art misspelled the last name of Steve Ujlaki, dean of the Loyola Marymount School of Film and Television, as Ujaki.
