Mayim Bialik: In the March 4 Calendar section, the Sunday Conversation column with actress-author Mayim Bialik gave the wrong first name for an expert on attachment parenting. He is Dr. William Sears, not Barry Sears.

Reading of “8”: A March 5 Calendar section article about some of the famous people attending the staged reading of the play “8” described Rich Ross as chairman of Disney. His correct title is chairman of the Walt Disney Studios.

Serena Williams: A column in Section A on March 5 about racial questions arising from a 2001 tennis tournament involving Serena Williams and her family said that the women’s semifinals occurred on a Saturday and that the final was the next day, on Sunday. In fact, the semifinals were Thursday, March 15, and the final was Saturday, March 17.

Arctic drilling: An article in the March 4 Section A about oil exploration off the Alaska coast said that Shell’s drilling program would eventually add 500,000 gallons a day of oil to the Trans-Alaska pipeline. The correct figure is 500,000 barrels a day.
