W.A. Sarmiento obituary: In the Dec. 4 LATExtra section, the obituary of architect W.A. Sarmiento said that he grew up in Lima, Peru. He grew up in Trujillo, Peru. The article also had an incomplete list of his immediate survivors, who include brothers Ricardo and Jaime and seven grandchildren.
David O. Russell: In the Dec. 5 edition of The Envelope, an index item referred to director David O. Russell winning “Oscar after Oscar” for his movie “Silver Linings Playbook.” Although the 2012 movie was nominated for eight Oscars, it took home one, for lead actress Jennifer Lawrence.
Cybersecurity boom: In the Dec. 6 Business section, an article about the growth of cybersecurity firms in Silicon Valley misstated the number of employees working for AlienVault. It is 120, not 300.
