Villa Carlotta is a 1920s Hollywood apartment building whose Juliet balconies and wrought-iron grilles conjure the romance of old Italy and Spain. The new owners say they want to open a luxury boutique hotel catering to “a new creative class” in search of an authentic Hollywood experience.
