Two married schoolteachers from Huntington Beach have been charged in the repeated molestation of a 17-year-old male student.

Daniel Alma Shepard, 62, and Gay Davidson-Shepard, 59, of Huntington Beach were both charged with multiple felony counts, including oral copulation of a minor, sodomy of a person under age 18 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office and Westminster Police Department.

Shepard also was charged with possession and control of child pornography.

The couple are accused of repeatedly inviting the boy, a student at Westminster High School, to their home, starting in March 2009, to drink alcohol, eat, play board games and watch movies.

The next month, the couple allegedly began initiating sexual encounters with the boy in their Jacuzzi, authorities said.

If convicted, Shepard could face a maximum sentence of five years in state prison and his wife could face a maximum of eight years and four months. Both are being held on $150,000 bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Friday at West Justice Center in Westminster.

Shepard taught at Westminster High School and Davidson-Shepard was a teacher at Mesa View Middle School in Huntington Beach at the time of the alleged crimes.
