Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Lone Pine

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 31 miles from Lone Pine, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:07 a.m. PDT near the surface.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 42 miles from Ridgecrest, 52 miles from Porterville and 56 miles from Lindsay.

In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
