Earthquake: 3.6 quake strikes near Lenwood, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.6 earthquake was reported Saturday morning 24 miles from Lenwood, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:04 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 25 miles from Barstow, Calif., 26 miles from Barstow Heights, Calif. and 35 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
