One person was killed and four were in critical or serious condition after a car plowed through a Canoga Park doughnut shop Saturday night.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. at Jolly Donuts at the intersection of De Soto Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
An adult was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details were immediately available.
LAPD Sgt. William Kelly said the driver had been transported to a local hospital and would be evaluated to determine whether alcohol was involved.
Kelly said it was unknown how many of the injured were inside the doughnut shop. All of the people hurt were adults and were also taken to a nearby hospital.
