Nightmare commute after 101 Freeway closed near Universal City due to jumper

Traffic was flowing -- though very slowly -- after a man threatening to jump off the 101 Freeway in Universal City surrended to authorities.
California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang said a man who appears to be in his 30s climbed onto the ledge of a bridge that crosses over the freeway.
Both sides of the 101 was closed for three hours, causing major traffic tie ups across L.A.
Even as officials moved to reopen the freeway, gridlock was expected to continue for some time.
Los Angeles fire officials have set up two large air bags underneath the bridge and a crisis team is trying to talk the man off the ledge.
