A driver was killed Thursday after colliding with a big rig on the 710 Freeway.
A driver was killed early Thursday after colliding with a big rig on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach, officials said.
The collision occurred at 2:33 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the 710 near Del Amo Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators found the dead driver inside a compact car on the shoulder of the freeway.
Debris from the crash blocked two freeway lanes, triggering a SigAlert. By 6 a.m., authorities reopened one of the two lanes.
Details about the driver were not immediately available.
