Soccer referee convicted on sex charges
A Huntington Beach soccer referee was convicted of having sex with a teenager in a parking lot and engaging in lewd acts with another teenager and a 10-year-old boy, authorities said Wednesday.
Jorge Diosado Serafin, 33, was a referee with the Oakview Soccer league at the time of the crimes, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors said Serafin had sex with the 15-year-old male on three occasions last year and that he knew the victim through Facebook.
In January, Serafin massaged the 10-year-old’s “bare back with sexual intent,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
Prosecutors said he incident took place in Serafin’s Irvine home.
Serafin also “sexually touched” a 14-year-male who had come to the apartment to use a computer in January, according to prosecutors.
Serafin is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 13 at the Fullerton courthouse. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years and eight months in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
