Driver killed, deputy injured in Lancaster crash
A car crash early Sunday killed a driver and injured a sheriff’s deputy in the Lancaster area.
The crash happened about 1:40 a.m. on Avenue F near 15th Street when a driver, suspected to be under the influence, veered into the other lane and hit the car driven by the deputy, according to Sgt. Dustin Carr.
The driver died at the scene of the crash. The deputy was taken to the hospital with a leg injury, Carr said.
