Police follow scent of pot and make a big bust in Burbank
Residents’ complaints about the smell of marijuana wafting through their Burbank neighborhood led police to a warehouse with more than 1,200 plants worth about $500,000, authorities said Thursday.
Burbank Police Department officers began an investigation earlier this month into the smell in the 2100 block of Kenmere Avenue. On Thursday, they served a search warrant on a warehouse and found an “illegal sophisticated indoor marijuana grow operation,” the department said.
Three men -- Michael Hutchinson, 53, of Burbank; Jeremy Mendelsohn, 26, of Sherman Oaks; and Michael Mosley, 41, of Simi Valley were arrested.
