1 killed, 1 hospitalized in Monterey Park vehicle crash
One person was killed and another was hospitalized Thursday after their vehicle struck a parked car in Monterey Park, police said.
The moving vehicle lost control and hit the parked car about 3:40 p.m. on Monterey Pass Road near South Fremont Avenue, Monterey Park police Sgt. Paul Yniguez said.
The vehicle then hit a nearby building, he said.
Monterey Pass Road was closed in both directions near Fremont Avenue for several hours as police continued their investigation, Yniguez said.
