A motorist who was killed when his utility truck plunged off Mulholland Highway earlier this week has been identified as 34-year-old Mike Ramirez of Covina, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Ramirez apparently lost control of his vehicle north of Pacific Coast Highway Friday afternoon and “ran off the east edge of the roadway and overturned down an embankment,” according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. and the truck fell about 350 feet, said CHP Officer Monica Posada. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.
