Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Idyllwild
A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Thursday morning six miles from Idyllwild, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:59 a.m. PDT at a depth of 9.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 11 miles from Valle Vista, 13 miles from East Hemet, 14 miles from Hemet and 269 miles from Phoenix.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
