Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Soledad

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Monday evening 13 miles from Soledad, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:41 p.m. PDT at a depth of 3.7 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 18 miles from Greenfield, 21 miles from Hollister, 26 miles from Salinas and 137 miles from Sacramento.

In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
