Morning view

Sonya Versluys thinks she wakes up far too early in the mornings, but it isn’t all bad. Unlike her night owl counterparts, she gets views of the morning fog.

“It looks different every day on my morning walk,” she said.

On Saturday, she noticed the fog hovering among the trees near her backyard and quickly ran outside with her camera.

“I looked out the window and saw this ethereal scene in front of me,” she said. “It’s the little moments like these that inspire you.”

Versluys has been sharing photos every day through a 365 project that she calls #dailyjoy. She hopes it will inspire others to seek out those moments of joy.

“It’s important to appreciate the little things that make you smile,” she said. “It’s a happy place to be in.”

Versluys used a Nikon D800 with an AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 lens to make this image in Silverado.
