Pets Available for Adoption - Week of September 9, 2019

Rocket Man is a sweet senior chihuahua mix. He likes to nap in your lap and bury under blankets. In typical chihuahua fashion he lets you know when he is and when he is not in the mood to be picked up. Rocket Man is counting down the days until he can blast off into a new forever home. (Spca Of Anne Arundel County)
Honey Bee is one sweet love-bug. She is happy to snuggle up in your lap and will roll right over for belly rubs. Honey Bee is 6 years old but still loves to play and carry around her toys. She likes taking walks and meeting new people, but her most favorite thing of all is giving kisses! (Spca Of Anne Arundel County)
Handsome Hachi is just one year old. He is an active and playful guy who loves to pal around with his friends. Hachi will be an excellent wingman to take on all your adventures! Stop by and meet him today. (Spca Of Anne Arundel County)
Boo! Don’t worry this Ghost is sweet, not scary. He is a big boy at just under 100lbs and stong on the leash, but he really enjoys going for walks and exploring new places. If you are looking for a friend with an extra-large amount of love to share, Ghost could be the one for you. (Spca Of Anne Arundel County)
Barbaranne, 5 years old, is a special cat looking for a special someone willing to continue the simple eye drops she needs for her rare chronic eye condition. She has been to a specialist several times and had laser treatments that made her eyes much more comfortable. She has been in foster homes for much of the time since she came to the shelter March 1 as a stray, but now she’s in a shelter cage and longing to leave for a caring forever home. (Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control)
Amalthea was one of a group of eight underage kittens brought Aug. 7 to Animal Care & Control. She grew up to adoptable size at a shelter foster’s home along with her three sisters. Two were adopted together last week; Amalthea and her remaining sister hope they also get to leave as a pair. Their foster says they are fun-loving 9-week-olds girls who enjoy human company. Each is $14, including her spay surgery, vaccinations and a microchip. (Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control)
Bree 2, is a remarkably youthful looking 17-year-old short-haired cat who was adopted from Animal Care & Control in 2013 and retuned Aug. 24 because family members reportedly were allergic. “She knows her name very well: Bree Bree,” the former owner wrote on her pet history form. “She’s a cuddler. Likes to greet houseguests.” Bree 2 weighs 11.8 pounds. As a senior cat, she is available at no cost to a qualified adopter, and can go home immediately. (Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control)
Bellatrix, 12, is a Labrador retriever mix looking for a comfy spot to lay her head. She was given up to Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control because her owner no longer could care for her. She is easy to walk, appears housebroken and reacted favorably to cats and other dogs when observed by staff. Like most of us of a certain age, Bellatrix is graying and has some minor lumps and bumps. She is available to a qualified adopter for $17. (Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control)
