Letters: See you in court -- maybe

Share

Re “10 court sites to be shuttered,” Nov. 15

There is clearly an increasing backlog of court cases that will only get worse.

Many of these cases are probably petty claims of businesses and individuals suing one another to make a buck. The solution is simple: Whoever loses these kinds of cases

automatically has to pay the others’ legal costs.

Unfortunately, legislation governing how the legal system works is usually made by lawyers. Who loses if these cases never come to pass?
